元祖インダストリアル・ミュージック、スロッビング・グリッスルのジェネシス・P・オリッジが、雑誌「Arthur」に2004年に寄稿した「お気に入りサイケデリックフォークTop10」の文章が、「Arthur」のサイトに転載されています。すべて1970年前後、オリジナル世代のサイケデリックフォークです。

とにかくThe Incredible String Bandというグループが昔から大好きなんだそうで、20枚以上のCDを持っていて、そのシュルレアリスム的で自由な詩の世界からビートルズやディラン以上の大きな影響を受けているとあります。Alexander “Skip” SpenceとPearls Before Swine以外はすべてイギリスのバンドです。

Throbbing Gristleはちょうど現在ヨーロッパをライブツアー中。10月23日のロンドンでのライブ動画がYouTubeにあったので貼っておきます。全裸シーンがあるので視聴注意。

3分頃に客がフラっとステージに登場して全裸に。それを花束でペンペンと叩くジェネシス。無反応でパソコンを触るその他の面々。シュールです。
